Hello from Western Florida
Just bought myself a Foreman 400 for 500$, yes, you heard right, 500$
It's my first ATV I've owned personally, but been riding them for years that my friends have owned. It runs, but rough...the PO did a bunch of things to it trying to fix it, but got fedup so he sold it cheap. He was no mechanic, where-as I and all my friends are, along with my buddies dad. It will run at high RPM for the most part, it sputters and makes noise alot, but wont run almost at all at low rpm... PO installed an inline fuel filter, restricting fuel flow...he's been in the carb...so I'll have to rebuild that properly...I saw a new headgasket so I'll have to go poking around in there too.... The rear brake pedal is literally folded to the back somehow.... it needs CV axles, lower ball joints...and some plastics. I love projects, because I will appreciate the machine more that way.  My plan of attack is order a rebuild kit for the carb, do it all right, rerout the fuel lines to how they are supposed to be. Check compression and if that is bad, repair that issue... Make sure all the wiring is there and intact using the Clymer manual he included with the sale, new sparkplug. Hopefully that makes it run proper and I'll fix the other issues then.
