Default hello from ohio

I currently own a Prairie 360 but am looking for something with a little more power and easier steering looking at Rancher and Grizzly 450 figured I would ask the owners so why Rancher and do I need power steering or do they steer easy.

Welcome to the forum. Is power steering needed, not really. Will you own one without it once you had it, probably not. Needed or not the power steering is nice, not just for steering effort but for the bump steer you encounter out on the trail. The machine doesn't "fight" you at all on the rough trails.

You looking at the automatic Ranchers or the manual/electric shifts?

I owned an 04 Rancher AT400. I moved to the 06 Rubicon 500 shortly after for more power back then. But that was me. I've ridden a few 420 Ranchers w/ps. It felt a little weird as it turns sooo easy. But I guess you'd get used to it.

I have a 420 manual shift and it has plenty of power for hat I need it for. I out pulled 500's in an atv sled pull this year. I run 27's on a basically stock machine. The auto is geared a little higher so if your planning on mud riding or big tires you can almost plan on doing a gear reduction to it.

What type of riding are you planning on using it for?
