what am i missing?
whats up everyone, im new here and hoping this site helps me. ive got a 07 honda rancher with fuel injection, some how dirty diesel fuel was put in the tank and clogged up my entire fuel system. i cleaned the tank, fuel pump and housing, lines, throttle body and injector. it fired right up and i was able to ride it a little so i figured it was fixed. it sat there untouched for 3 days and when i got back on it the engine was hard to start, didnt want to idle and ran rough, i cleaned everything again. its getting fuel, good fire from the plug, clean air filter. it still doesnt want to start and when it finally does it doesnt want to idle. im thinking sensors but not sure, first time to ever fool with a fuel injected atv. any suggestions?

did you change the fuel filter yet? also is it througing any codes?

fuel is fuel the filter doesnt know the diffrence from diesel or gas....check all your clamps and make sure they are tight it might be sucking air...we had this same problem at work with a f250 we filled it with gas and ran the **** out of it..

diesel does have more lubrication to it..... if the filter is clogged with the particles from the diesel then it will be mixing with the gas. diesel is a combustible, not flammable
