TooDeep thanks for the info, I ended up not getting the Rincon, because of the front end issues. Decided it was probably the bearings on the front end, but I found an 06 Rubicon that was in much better shape. I'm very happy with it, I took it out twice this weekend. The only issue is that Saturday it was our coldest day in Alabama and it cranked right up with full choke. But I left it warming up on full choke for several minutes while I put more clothes on and unloaded some other ATV's. After a couple minutes I went and checked the Rubicon and tried turning the choke off but it wouldn't keep running without the choke all the way on. I figured just cold natured Honda and let it idle a few more minutes with the choke on.
Finally, got ready and started riding and as soon as I got on I noticed the temp light was on. Kind of worried me but I got on and road for a few minutes and the light went off. I figured the cool air cooled it down. Then after riding slow and rough for a few minutes it came on again. So pulled over and shut it off and took a break. After that it was fine the rest of the day. Got home checked the coolant level and all the fluids were good. Took it out Sunday and just started it and started riding, after a while the temp light was on again. Stopped took a break, it went off but then came on again. Now I'm worried, heard the fan cut on only once. Any suggestions? Going to take it to get looked at by the guy that does my normal maintenance.
Other than running hot, I love the Rubicon. Rides great, handles well, and the transmission has been wonderful so far.

It might just be a wire loose or bare, the by the intake would be one and the other is on the lower part of the oil tank (front of motor). Did you check the fluid level at the radiator or just the overflow tank? If just the overflow check the radiator level and make sure it's full. A lot of dealers seem to overlook this at set-up and they have the same issues. Either way the fan should be running though so get it looked at.

They are a little cold natured but not as bad as yours sounds. It might need some minor carb adjustments to get it set perfect.

Scroll down to the last pic in the first post here. It could be another possibility on the heating issue.
