Hello fellows, newby here with a problem with finding the "T" in the inspection hole on the right side of the motor. I cannot see the "T" in the hole, I have used a flashlight and it seems the light bounces back, it is a blur, my neighbor who works on Honda's came over and we both looked for the tee to no avail, I am 72 years old and he is 66. I know we are over the hill but I am not blind and neither is he. Does anyone know of another way of finding this "T" mark? any and all help is appreciated. BTW this is a 2004 rubicon.

Yep, pull spark plug and rotate VERY slowly with pull start. Pulling the spark plug allows you to pull it over easily while doing it slowly.

There should be an F on the flywheel too , and the T isn't far behind the F.

They tried some paint marks on the transmission gears in the 1000 sxs, it doesn't work.. Just take the plug out and use a straw to feel the piston come up to tdc. You should be able to see the mark then and if your just adjusting the tappets you will be close enough.
