Another winch question
When I take my Recon anywhere I have long metal ramps that I use to load and unload into my 2wd Ford truck. I make sure everything is secured and tightened down and even go so far as driving 16'' spikes through holes I drilled at the ramp base to try and prevent any movement. It's worked well, but I'm just not comfortable loading and unloading while riding it up or down. What I'm thinking about doing is mounting a winch onto the Recon and fabbing up a hook on a reinforced mounting plate at the front of the trucks bed and winching the quad on and off. This will be the only use of the winch since I only use the quad for getting around the race track.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a winch size and brand ? A wireless one would would be a plus. Thanks. |

look on ebay for a cheap no name winch if thats all your using it for
