Question Fuel problem

I have a 2006 recon that just wont stay running. If I turn the fuel on, it will flow out of one of the little brass looking tubes on the back of the carb into the air box. I checked the needle and seat and they are working fine and llok pretty clean still. The float moves up and down freely. what is my problem??? I really need it running perfect by deer season

When you restart the motor do you get black smoke out of the exhaust pipe ? It's pretty hard to diagnose problems over the Internet, but I'm thinking there is something in the seat of the carb letting gas flow into the motor non-stop.

I got it running for a couple minutes, I had to stay on the gas. The petcock was set to off. I know a little about engines but this is boggling me
