Default Clutch problems

I have done a quick search but didnt find anything helpful. I have a 97 recon and last year replaces the clutch using a kit with new spings. My problem is even after adjusting the free play my recon still moves when i lift up on the shifter. If i hold the shifter up and give it gas it takes off. Is this normal? i am wondering if this is causing my shifting to be stiff and very difficult. I am also having a problem trying to jet it but i may post a new thread. Any help would be extremly helpful!!!
Thanks!

I have adjusted it multiple times. So your saying just lift up on the shifter and just keep giving it gas til it stops pulling forward? It just doesnt feel like when i shift to another gear that it is disengaging all the way.

Sorry for the long wait i adjusted it over the weekend and it was still not working out so i tore it apart. When i looked at the clutches, the steel plates looked discolored to a nasty looking brown like they had been burning up. I didnt see everything out of the ordinary, Does anyone have some ideas as to what could cause this and what i should look for...

It almost sounds like the clutch has been slipping for a long while. And since you weren't able to adjust the clutch, that further leads to slipping. Don't use any of the old parts when you rebuild it either. Since you have it down this far, go with all new stuff.
What does the flywheel surface look like ? If it's discolored or has checking marks on it, get a new flywheel too because it might be warped and to true it up might take too much off the surface.
