Do I need to pull the motor to change the starter clutch and flywheel?
I'm going to try and change my starter clutch and flywheel on my 02 recon, if I can get the parts cheap enough. I've read the manual but not sure if I need to pull the motor or if I will have enough room to work by just taking the plastics off. Is ebay the best place to get parts or does some one know where I might be able to find one cheaper? Again thanks.

More question? After some more reading I've discovered that I don't think I need to pull the motor for my starter clutch flywheel replacement, that's the good news. Now for a silly questions, I have an 02 Recon ES. I know, why buy an electric shift atv if you want to shift with your foot, but I got a good deal. How much of a bad idea would it be to put a manual foot shift pedal and use my foot rather than the electrical shift? Would it mess up the electric shift?

if you decided to put a foot shift on there then u'd have to get rid of the es stuff. otherwise u'll ruin the es stuff
