Default Front brakes

I have a '04 Recon and I noticed when I pull the front brakes, it seems only the left one is working. I haven't jacked it up and spun the right wheel and applied the brakes yet, but before I rip into it, does anyone have something I should check first ?

If the OP is lucky Helmut will be correct

Water contamination and a leaking wheel cylinder are next on the probability list.

I've been busy with other projects, but I did jack up the front and spun the tire/wheel and apply the brake. It acted fine and no different than the left side. Right now I'm thinking the bias between the 2 sides is off and the left is grabbing first. Gonna pull both drums and see if there's anything obvious. Thinking it's just a adjustment issue right now.

Finally had some time and pulled the drums to check the lining. Both sides looked good, so I put the drums back on. I'm glad I did pull them because the pictures of the adjustments in the manual showed them at different places. On mine they were both at the bottom of the backing plates. I adjusted all 4 till the shoe was dragging the drum, and then backed off 2 clicks. After putting it back together it works better, but the left still wants to grab first. At least it's not pulling anymore and maybe I'll back the left off 1 more click and see what that does.

What service manual are you using? My '04 Recon factory service manual shows both of the adjusters at the bottom.

I have the Haynes manual and even they don't have the pictures properly oriented, it shows the adjusters 90* apart.
That's the problem with a manual like mine trying to show many of the models and not identifying the pictures. I need to get one like yours.
