Pistons for a recon - Honda Foreman Forums : Rubicon, Rincon, Rancher and Recon Forum

Im new to the forums and wondering if some of yall out there can help. Will the wiseco piston with 10.5:1 compression for the 2001 250ex would fit a 98 recon? I have looked all over the internet and the engines seem to be the same. There are piston kits that say they will fit the recon fron 97-03 and the 250ex from 01-08. The wiseco pistons say that it will fit the 250ex from 01-07. So whats the difference?
