Default 12 volt outlet

How would one go about getting a 12 volt outlet for an 07 recon?

Do you mean you want to put one on or you want to replace the one you have? On my old 300 I went to Walmart and bought a waterproof add-on 12v accesory plug and wired it to a 12volt wire in the harness. Mount it where ever you want.

If theres a battery in it then it has a charging system. All your headlights are 12volt.

Welcome to the forum jray. I would splice into a wire that is only powered when the key is on and install an in line fuse in the wiring going to the outlet you choose. You should be able to find a good water resistant outlet about anywhere. The machine does have a charging system so no worry there.

I bought 2 of my 12 vdc outlets off ebay for around $8 each. They both came off Yamaha Grizzlies. There's a large plastic nut on the back side. You just drill the plastic, install the adapter, run the nut down and wire it up. I recommend running the power to the battery with a 10a inline fuse and the ground wire to a convenient bolt on the frame.
