It won't hurt anything but I doubt your going to see any improvements. The machine is designed to run on the lower octane fuel so that's where it will run the best. If you see any gains it's probably because it refreshed some old fuel.

If you were to do A-B-A testing between regular gasoline and a gasoline that has a octane enhancer, you'll see very little gain. The compression ratio on these motors are low so regular gas can be used. Adding race gas or aviation gas will help slightly, but in bracket drag racing it's consistency from run to run that wins races. Plus the motor will run hotter and that's something you don't want especially with a air cooled motor. Here is a picture of our drag car. Our motor is a 832 cubic inch motor with 16.5 to 1 compression ration. So we HAVE to use a high octane leaded gasoline at $16.50 a gallon !

if you have the money u can have it bored oversized and put in a new piston but that's about all. I have 2 friends who race 450's on a cross country circut, they have put thousands into the motors, big bore kits different cams lighter cranks head jobs the works, the best bet is a bigger bore with a head port and polish the better air flows in and out the more power you'll get, but all that adds heat like mentioned earlier and all you have is air to cool it off. I wonder what the possibility of adding a fan would do?

That's a beautiful looking bike you have there. It looks like it's going 100 mph just sitting ! But no thanks, we'll stick to 4 wheels and a cage.

I see the video of your bike was shot at Martin, MI. We just raced there a few weeks ago in the ADRL race. Except for the rain, it's a nice track.
