I have a 1999 Honda Recon trx250 and it sat for a couple years and cant get it running right.I took the carb off and cleaned it all out and set the adjustments to 2-2/12 turns and it idles fine.I put an in line fuel filter on it and also put a new spark plug and a new air filter on it and it idles fine but if I take a short ride on it and bring it back it wants to shut off and is hard to stop but as soon as it cools down it starts right back up again like right now.What could be the problem?

Is the choke working properly? You may have a kink in the cable.
