Hey all! I have an 01 Honda Recon that has been sitting with no carb on it, outside for at least 3 years now.
I decided today that I wanted to try to get it running again but I need some help and advice.
I dug the carb out from my garage (originally I took it off because the quad was running badly with no power, later learned more and realized that the carb was probably just dirty).

So far I cleaned the gas tank out thoroughly, cleaned the carb out with carb cleaner and made sure all the needles/lines had all the crud blown out of them. I also took the spark plug off(and got a new one), liberally sprayed WD-40 in the cylinder bore and turned it over by hand a few times via the pull cord. Right away the motor felt smooth as butter, didn't feel like there was any rust or anything in the cylinder bore and the motor definitely wasn't seized. Next I am going to drain the oil and put fresh oil in it.

Anyway, I have the carb bolted up but I can't figure out where any of the lines go! All I figured out so far was the throttle linkage and I think I have an idea of how the choke goes back on but I don't know where the fuel feed goes from the tank or where any of the other (vacuum?) lines go. Anyone have a helpful diagram? I know, I ordered a tech manual but I was hoping to get something done tomorrow as I am off from work.

Also, any other advice on what I should do/check before I try to get this thing running? Anything I should adjust on the carb while it's off or should I bolt it up and work from there? I'm not good with carbs. I can adjust float levels on a automobile carb but I don't know anything about the carb on my recon.

thanks!

Come on, anyone have anything? Even a drawing or a description of where the main feed lines goes at least. My day-off time is running out and I was hoping to get it running today! Someone must have a recon that they can look out at and describe where things go for me, don't need a big technical write up. thanks!!

I think the bigger fitting on the carb is the inlet and theres probably a smaller one for the overflow rain tube from the bowl.
