i have been building and rebulding engines 2 and 4 stroke for a number of years now and break them both in a similar manner. assuming u lubed the cylinder walls before assembly kick or rotate the enige thru 20 to 30 times with plug wire off( or kill switch off ) start and run engine at idle for 1 - 2 minutes then rev the engine thru the rpm ranges. never wide open or off the limiter. ride it around gently in 2nd 3rd gear for 10 to 15 minutes and park it for at least 6 - 12 hrs to allow the engine to cool completely. always want to change oil ( and filter )and spark plug after 1st break in. check coolant. start it again and follow same warm up procedure. once its warmed up pin it to win it
