Default Winch

Anyone know anything about Warrior winch's? I can get a 3500 lb winch complete kit for 189.95. Sounds like a good deal but I have not heard of them
Thanks
Doc

Looks like a great set-up!

Theres just 1 thing that im not too crazy about but it may not be a problem at all.

It has a 1.95hp motor..... Thats going to give alot of draw on the battery, especially if the case calls for you to have the machine off when running a load in on the winch.

Like I said it may be nothing but other than that it looks like a killer deal!

Warrior is an English brand. I'd strongly recommend the Superwinch for the same or lower price.

No I doubt it would be that drastic.

My 3000k winch has a 1.2 hp motor in it but a gear ration to match it.

From experience (flooded out under water) its nice to know you wont drain your battery bringing it to shore. It would only hurt you in a situation like that I would say..... I had a couple hundred feet of winching to do that day with the machine off and I still had good charge when I got all the water out of the motor.

Even when I do oil changes I keep the motor off and winch it up to my deck beams. But thats only a couple feet ya know.

All I can say is do your research on it. There probably arent that many people that comment on the battery drain part but who knows I never looked......

I just wouldnt want you to spend the money and who knows it might not happen till a couple years down the road, and something like that leaving you stranded. You know what I mean.

Its just something to think about before you purchase it.... Obviously the people selling the winch or any other winch for that matter will say it wont have an effect but it definitely does from the consumer stand point.
