Default Project Rincon

Hey all. Well back on Sept 16 of this year I was riding my Rincon in northern Ontario and long story short, rolled in on a sand covered turn off a privet roadway. I was thrown from the bike and fractured my T9 vertebrae (in my back). Got pretty lucky. Spent (5) days in the hospital and had to wear a brace for (6) weeks. I luckily got to keep working my regular job, but cannot go to fire calls until doctor gives me the green light (hopefully next week ).

Any who, wanted to share my Rincons face lift that she is undergoing. The damage from the bike wasnt too bad. The front wheel got ripped right off, handle bars mashed, cluster smashed, pass box totaled. So I went thru insurance, and made out like a bandit. Had to get quote done which came back at $4700.00 in repairs. They didnt wanna rite it off, so I took the cash settlement and am fixing it myself (for way cheaper (thank-you internet)). Heres some pictures so far.

Here is a picture of the bike shortly after the accident:

Here is when I got it home after the quote from a local shop. Tear down time. I took it apart further than I had too as Im installing a rad relocate kit also.

Wingman : Ya it was pretty cool getting all that stuff from BikeBandit. I know alot of people ref different suppliers online but bikebandit was awesome. Even for me up here in Canada, prices were good and shipping isnt to bad. I love working on the bike too. Nothing beats having a table of new parts to install plus all the extra goodies

vermhot : Yes this 2007 Rincon was Camo at the start of it's life. I purchased it used about 2yrs ago and noticed it was flaking around the rear fenders (like all Rincons and other Honda models, I read all about online), so I chose to power wash it all off. I knida like the tan but do wish it was still Camo. At least no one (or very few) have the same colour

I first bought Executioner tires a few years ago. Mounted them on my 2004 Rancher 400AT. And yes I noticed a power loss but minor. It was only a real problem in the peanut butter. I ended up selling that bike but kept the tires and mounted them on the next bike I bought a 2006 500S. Even less power loss. But again more loss in heavier mud. I ended up selling the bike with those tires on it.

Point being if my 400AT can handle 26X12X12 then I am more than confident in my 680cc fuel injected Rincon can turn some 27's. Yes there will be loss in power, but trust me the gain in mud pits is well worth it. I'll challenge any bike any day

Not ranting, but to many people think down on this tire only because of weight. Ya heavy tire, buy a big bike. haha

Once the bike is complete, I'll let you's know how well they turn.

I had 27x12 on all 4 on a brand new rincon with lift and i could still wheelie while sittin on seat. but in mud it sucked, i couldnt even clean them out. I hated them tires, my buddy had a grizz 660 with 29.5s and walked all around me
