Was quoted $600 from the Honda dealer for timing chain replacement in a 03 rincon. They say the motor has to be removed. Sounds high to me but I have no idea.

The chain can probably be done in frame but that might not shave any time off the job. Sometimes it's quicker to just pull the motor out.

Not that it really matters. They probably quoted you the flat rate repair time.
