Default Will my Rincon run without Display pod?

My 2004 Rincon 650 GPS model has a junk Pod and I have been looking at a replacement.
I dont really care about the GPS junk so what Im wanting to know is if I can just order a non GPS unit and if it will work?
And if somebody has one of these? Let me know!
I also need the factory spark arrestor piece too!

Ok, After reading what I wrote last night I realized that I didint get to the original posted question I asked.
So let me ask this again! lol
Right now I really cant afford to replace the GPS pod let alone a non GPS pod but Im hopeful that I can use a non GPS unit.
But for now, since it runs and everything seems to work?, can I take it for a ride and not have an issue come up on me while Im out on the trails?
I have let it idle for awhile and the cooling fan does come on and I know by the switches whether or not if Im in 4x4 or not and I just cant forsee what else might go wrong riding with out it?
The only thing I can think of is to be carefully listening to the engine noises as I wont have anything on the screen to alert me of overheating.
Also it seems to shift thru all the gears on either ESP or auto so what am I gonna hurt?
My gauge has a nickel size hole in the screen and basically has no function other than the reverse, neutral and 4x4 indicator lights so I took it apart and 3 cups of mud water poured out so I put it back together unplugged and will leave it that way until I get another pod.
Once again if anyone knows of a cheap pod or if I can use a regular non GPS pod let me know because I really dont want to even ride this thing without one but my buddy wants to go riding this weekend and Im thinking I can?lol

P.S I know my sentence structure Sucks butt!lol

When I was little I blew a fuse on dads rancher 350 ES and rode it like that for awhile (same thing, no power to dash) and didnt hurt it (to my knowledge)..

If it's performing with out it plugged in, ride it. I tried it on one machine but it had other problems besides the display so it didn't work. On that machine the display would drain the battery if left hooked up.

Thanks TooDeep!
Yeah my battery kept going dead too, and the guy that owned it before said he just unhooked the battery after every ride.
When I took apart pod the the circuit board was too hot to touch and I didnt even have a key in the ignition so im pretty sure that was my battery drain and thats why I left it unplugged.
I think Im gonna just make sure all of my fluids are good and go riding this weekend.
