Default Rinny's Bogging

Hey everyone, I been having this problem with my '07 Rincon bogging down when I get into deep water. My current mods are in my signature and I've had this problem ever since my first water hole crossing. Once I get into any kind of water up over the exhaust, the engine just looses power. It doesn't stall out, it just doesn't boggs down. I can give it full throttle and the tires and just barely spinning. Thinking that it was because of the giant opening of the Swamp Series, I put the quiet core in( with and without the extra elbow extension that bolts onto the endcap) and it still boggs down. My buddies Rincon does not do this. He has the stock exhaust but with the 2" endcap. I see videos on youtube of people going super deep and letting their quads idle, and they have no problems when they give it gas. I understand they have snorkels and I do not, but I know my quad should not be acting this way. Once I am out however, it acts just fine, there is no water in my air box so I know its not sucking any in. Any help would be much apprieciated.

Definitely hit everything with di-electric grease. And you're pushing your luck running that deep without a snorkle too.

Not sure about the Rincon but my Rubi bogs down in deep water when it's in automatic so I switch to ESP then it's fine. Seems like the controller programming just can't handle the extra load of pushing thru' water.

May also want to check the carb's vent line to make sure it's not sucking water.

Yep, EFI on the 680. I would try it in ES mode also if you haven't already. Another thought is a snorkel might help (even if not needed). You have everything to gain power but if the factory intake (snorkel) is restricting it then the power making "flow" is not there.

I may try the snorkel, just so all the vent lines will be good. I always hit mud and deep water in ESP, so I know its not that. I also doubt it is an electrical problem because the quad doesn't stall, just temporarily looses power. It seems once the exhaust is out of the water its like someone turned on the horsepower switch because it hooks up.
