Unhappy Trouble need alot of help for our rincon

Our rincon lately started running bad, we have an 05 650, it makes a horrible ticking noise and starts very hard an it's summer, i can only get up to 46mph now where it could go 67 before. Also 3 gear boggs down very bad and automatic doesn't shift correctly, so i had to use esp. We are wondering where we can find a replacement engine and transmisson for it near wisconsin

Let me guess, you don't do a lot of maintenance and your oil looks like black syrup. The loud clicking you hear is probably your cam chain and I would venture to guess the engine may have jumped time. It will be a lot cheaper to have a GOOD shop fix your engine, than to buy another one. I did see an engine on ebay for $2000. Have a shop run a compression check, change your oil and add just a little extra, replace the cam chain and oil pump chain and I bet you get your ride back to normal.

It could be as simple as a cam bearing that went bad.

okay, well we changed the oil and filter back in january when it was running good and then we were on lake winnebago and all **** broke loose on it, We had it in a shop since march but the useless mechanic didnt do anything but adjust valves and didnt clean the carb, well have the timing checked, but even if that is the only engine problem we got the tranny's 3 gear, yeah i really want to keep the rincon because i loved it but my dad seen a 800 efi polaris for 5,700 but i hate polaris, and would rather have the rincon back or a 700 kingquad because i like to have a lighter bike

This probably isn't the place to post this, but I'm just a military mom trying to sell my son's four wheeler and I'm stumbling my way through this. He is going back to Iraq and can't take the ATV with him. He wants to sell it rather than store it. My problem - I don't know some of the answers to the questions I'm getting. It's a Foreman ES and I need to know if it has power steering. Can anyone help me?

Thanks so much for your time and I apologize for butting into this thread, but like I said -I didn't know how to initiate my own question.

Marcie :-)

Default Thank you!

Thanks so much for the help - I will look for that sticker this afternoon! Maybe this detail will seal the sale - if not, I may ask another question...we appreciate you! :-)

Okay Tyler, you are not giving much information here, about like your maintenance record. Have you even checked the oil level? 3rd gear on the Rincon is critical on oil level. If the oil is dirty or the least bit low, 3rd gear will not operate properly.
