Default ball joints?

help!!!! hey all you honda heads how do i get my ball joints removed with out the honda tool OR beating the crap out of the knukle with a bfh ?

Dont be afraid, get a bigger hammer. I used one of them forks before and I tore the rubber seal. Il just use a hammer next time.

yea i kinda thought that but was trying to try a new approach like i always say get a bigger hammer if it breaks it needed replacing anyway

AMEN. lol and dont hit the threads there soft and will bend easy. If you think you really need to put the nut back on flush with the end of the treads to keep from ruining them. good luck

Don't hit the threads,,,, its very easy to take a large hammer and hold it against the SIDE of the joint (I prefer an actual sledgehammer)... while holding the large hammer snug against the side of the joint, strike the other side very hard with another hammer. They have always popped out and no damage to the tie rod. Try it....

I use a LEAD hammer for things like that, Ive had that hammer of over 25 years.......LOL....its about wore out, time to make a new one

I usually just use an automotive ball joint remover that looks like a big c-clamp. Dont know if your trying seperate the balljoint or remove it. For seperating it I pry on it and smack the side with a hammer, pops right out.
