Default Camo plastics

So I just upgraded to a 2007 680FI (Camo). Really love the machine. Went to wash it the other day after a ride. Found in a few spots the camo finish was flakeing out like 10 year old paint. I couldn't belive this crapy quality behind our beloved Honda. I called the Stealer to check on the rumured " recall" on these camo plastics. Stealer shot me down in 2 second flat. Never was a warranty. Being as im not the original owner its not a REAL big deal. But if I paid $600.00 more for the Camo (MSRP) I'd be F ing pissed. Anyone else out there having this trouble ? I've got my eye out for another set anyway.

Just about everybody that has the camo has had that happen. It is very poor quality.

I have the camo and I regret getting it. I wish I would have gotten the Red or Green.

The camo has peeled off the entire back fender and rack area of my Foreman. I'm planning on taking the rest of it off and just leaving it tan. Mine is covered in mud most of the time so you can't even tell it's camo.

I noticed that on my buddies rincon this weekend. his camo is peeling but with all the mud on it and the color of the plastic being tan, you really cant tell its that muddy. Personally I think the tan is a sweet color, and hides the crud very well!

I love the Camo/Tan. Mine is still new, but love the idea
that it looks clean even when its dirty.

Well, went wheeling the other night and got the old girl muddy as all ****. I dont own a pressure washer, but had to borrow my brother in laws to deal with all this mudd. I now no longer have a problem with the camo flaking off the plastics. I now own a tan coloured 680 Rincon. All and all doesnt look to to bad. It came off like dirt with the pressure washer. I'll post up some pics soon.

gsxrjarrett, I live in Watertown NY. Are you over this way? (Thousand Island area) Just wondering?

I've seen pictures of the tan bikes and I think they look good. IMO

mine is doing the same thing....when I asked the dealer about it...I was told "it was normal wear and tear". I went and pulled the tags off of a brand new camo foreman and took them to him and asked him to show me where it said "the camo is going to begin peeling in less than 2 months and not to waste your money paying for it sir". He said I had a bad attitude, but did nothing about it.
I just keep mine covered with mud so ya can't tell anyway????
Camo looks good, but its a rip of!
