Default My 2007 Honda Rincon 680 Died and I need help

Hello everyone,
I have a 2007 Rincon 680 with 97 miles on it. All week it was starting up and running fine. I left it out in a rain storm, the next morning it was cold and I started it up and it did start but then died. I tried starting it again, and it won't start. I drained the gas and put fresh gas in, but nothing. The battery it turning over but it won't fire. I'm new to Four wheelers, so if any of you good people could give me a list of things to check to get my quad started again, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance- Shane

Are you hearing the fuel pump prime when you turn the key ? Take the plug out and check if you have spark.

Check to be sure you hear the pump priming when you turn the key on.

Well I checked the spark plug after trying to start it. I was pumping the throttle trying to get it to fire, so after about 10 minutes of that I went to check the spark plug. I unscrewed it and inspected it and it was bone dry. Should it have been soaked with gas. I think you are right that the fuel pump might not be working or could it just be clogged. I'm not sure how to access it to check it out. Could you give me a rough idea on how to clean out the fuel line. It did have a spark by the way, and I went ahead and checked all the fuses and they were in good working order. I checked to make sure I didn't have the engine kill switch on. I think it is something with the fuel pump. I bought it brand new and only have 97 miles on it, do fuel pumps blow that soon? -Shane

No, it does not sound like the fuel pump is working. What would you recommend my next step be? -Shane

First check the fuse. If the fuse is ok check to see if the pump is getting power with a check light or multimeter. If it is getting power you will probably need to replace the pump.
