I have been a Honda bigot for 48 years.

Currently I own an '08 Ridgeline, an '88 GW, and several Honda generators... 2000EUi etc. All of them benefit from Honda's love of engine design. That is the reason Honda commands a premium for their products.

Oh, and an '06 Rincon.

If you like to ride, like reliability, like handling... you can't miss with a Honda. I like the independent suspension, and the automatic... with ESP, which allows you to control the shift points if and when you choose.

If you like to "mod" your ride... get something else.

Just my opinion.

The stock Rincon is a work of art. Modded it's great too, but stock it is the ultimate trail bike. I like mine, but I'll be trading up soon. The Rincon isn't great for bigger riders.

Hi mac... I'm 6' 1"... 200lbs. You must be bigger that that... as the bike handles my weight and height just fine. The Rincon is a big heavy cruiser from my viewpoint.

And btw, what are you considering as a replacement?

About 6'4" 240lbs. The Rincon will handle my weight fine, its just that its a little bit uncomfortable for me. I feel a bit like a monkey riding a foot ball if you know what I mean.
Looking at the Arctic Cat 700H1, possibly a Thundercat or Can-am Renegade 800 but I'll have to sit on them first. I'm sure I'll wait to see what Honda does for 2009 though.

just remeber a larger frame bike is also more unstable on off camber situations as the center of gravity is higher, the rincon is a great trail rider and leaves a little to be esired in the mud it all depends on what you want your bike to do.

Hey...a friend of mine has an 07 Rincon 680 and he's running 30" Mudlite XXLs. He's having NO trouble at all turning those tires. He has no performance mods on the Rincon just stuff like DGL, winch, snorkel, Gorilla axles, highlifter lift with springs. He's got some money in the thing but nobody should have any trouble turning 26" Mudlites in a Rincon even at low-end torque. Here's a pic of it...

I got 27in 589s and only bogged it down once... It took two foremans and another with a 8k pound winch pulling on me to get out.

I hate to say it but only one machine i've riden rides and handles better than the Rincon, Polaris. I've riden all but the H1 Cats. The Rincons i've riden all have good power. And ESP is a must on tight technical trails.
