I don't own a Rincon but I've ridden my friends a couple times and I didn't like the way it downshifted when slowing down, very harsh. Also it seemd geared too high for me.However I was very pleased with the ride comfort and it had plenty of power.
I think the Rincon needs a LOW range like the old Honda 3 wheelers used to have.(just a simple lever on the side of the engine to shift between HIGH and LOW range)

This is not really a problem as you can flick it into the manual mode without taking your hand off the right grip. I do like the automatic as all the controls are in your hands.

Do I own one? = NO Have I rode them? = YES Do I work on Honda's everyday? = YES
There is nothing wrong with the transmission, automotive style been around for many, many years very dependable. The problem is the R&D at Honda. They should have put a high/low range in them even with there main purpose of being a trail machine. Yes I agree, a 680 with a manual transmission would be awesome. |

I would love to, but they have problems with overheating and anyone that hits mud like I do does not need any help with that.lol I actually want the turner 802 stroker kit but I would rather wait till honda comes out with a v-twin until then my wife will have to wait to get the rincon.
