hey i just got a 2002 and honda 500 rubicon the other day but it wont move the guy i got it from sid he just had a new oil pimp put on it and he sid it drove about 15 feet then stoped driving he thinks the chain feel off the oil pump could that cause this to happen ?

u need to describe what it is doin in better detail....

will it run but not move? will it move but not great? are the wheels locked up? is it making any noises while trying to move it?

and most importantly, why is there a new oil pump in it?

all youre questions can be ansered with doing a oil pump test (there is a port on the motor to put a gauge ...)
do you need a manual ?

it will start up run great but i wont move the wheels wont lock up ether so its just like it sitting in neutral even when the bike say its in another gear and it a brand new oil pump

theres a strong possibility that the chain fell off and it would need an oil pressure test (as rich suggested) to determine if the pressure is low. (u could always take the front cc cover off as well but thats a fair project) did u pay much for this machine?

Hello and welcome . As they said above check oil pressure first .... Will it coast freely in neutral ? After checking oil pressure,and makeing sure brake isnt stuck on >(In neutral )giveing it a little gas ,does it sound like the motor is loading, like its attempting to pull ,but not moveing ?
