I've been messing with the bike trying to add spacers and I have a question. I want to lift 2" but when I jack it up without the shocks it only comes up a max of 2" seems like less. The bottom control arm hits on the frame where it comes down from the bumper so it's almost topped out to begin with. My bike came with spring adjusters built in, so does it pretty much already have the lift to begin with?

Yes and no. If you stiffen your suspension all the way up with only you on it, it will ride pretty rough but it will take the spring sag out making it a bit taller. When you loosen them it obviously does the opposite, sofer ride more sag.
With the lift its like adding some length to your shocks overall height. You gain roughly 2" of longer shock but still the same travel. making it easier to fit bigger tires. |

I also have adjustable springs...The lift will put a spacer between the shock and the existing mount.. Honestly for the $100 the lifts start at i wouldnt even think of making my own.. and yes i noticed a big difference once i installed mine.. took me 2 hrs to do mine and less now ive done it once..worth the $100 IMO

I got it finished and now have 13 inches from the ground to the skid plate. It lifted more than I thought it would before it hit the frame. The axles look really rough, lots of angle, may have to ride in 2wd a lot. Can see buying gorillas in the near future lol.
