Shutoff valve on snorkel?
Has anyone ever considered putting one of those ball valves on your snorkel so if you turn over you can shut it off before water goes in? Noticed them at home depo, thought about splicing one in..

anytime my bike has ever turned over in water, i was too busy trying to keep it from turning over to reach for some valves. sounds like a good idea...but unfortunate sh!t happens faster than we can turn a valve. why not just put your hand over the snorkel and kill it...it will hold the suction on your hand long enough for you to get situated.

i'd wear a air tank to. by the time you get all the valves and levers shut off your going to be to the bottom of the lake.
honestly i do think its a good idea but when i sunk my bike there was no time to shut off a valve. i was more worried about not getting water in my beer but i did anyway....
