Default Heated grips, thumb warmer, what power wire?

Hello everyone,i just recieved my moose hand and thumb warmers, they where seperate items with the plastic rocker switches.
My question is which wire are you guys using for power?,i would like it so that they are only powered while the bike is running, not hot at all time, or hot when keyed on,just hot when running?is this possible?, thanks for your time.

I attached the wires directly to the battery.

I hate cutting into wires unless I have and when I do I always solder and heat shrink the connections.

Rich nailed it, its not hard to do. I did it when I got my moose grips and thumb warmer 3 years ago and they're still working great!
