Default battery question

I keep my rubicon in my heated garage and it starts fine dont even need choke most days. If i leave it out of the garage in weather like today which was around 30ish here in ne missouri for even a few hours it wont start. I pull the choke and it will crank maybe 4-6 times before battery starts going dead and then it starts making that clicking sound. My 07 only has 80 hrs and has the the original battery i believe. So it sat alot over the years. Do you think i just need a new battery or could it be a bigger problem? If i push it back into the garage and let it sit and warm up for a few hrs it will start as soon as i hook up the battery charger. And when i do hook up my battery charger it says its basicaly fully charged. Any ideas? And if i do need a new battery which is the best to get? Thanks alot guys.

your stock battery lasted 5+ years so i think you did pretty good ! i would get it from the dealership if you can
i think your battery is on its way out but you will need to check the charging system .
take the seat off and take a volt meter and touch the battery terminals with the wheeler is running it should read between 13v to 14.4v )

I started my rubi the other day for the first time in about 5 monthes. Its been cold here too 20s-40s. At first I cranked the original battery dead. After putting a quick charge on it I pushed the primer button about 8 times until I could feel resistance. I hit the starter and she fired right up.

I would just thrown on a full charge and used the prime button, that should take care of your problems.

After I had it runnin for about 10 minutes I shut it off. Got on it sunday (3 days later) for the first ride in 5 monthes and it fired no problem at all, didnt even choke it.

Ohh, well then its probably time for an upgrade. I would get the dimensions and CCAs then head out to tractor supply. I think my neighbor told me he paid $39 for the battery in his quad. Its atleast worth a look.

It is probably your battery. However, it may also just need to be pushed for a long time with a small charger. You aren't doing a lot of running, so it may not be able to keep up. If you have a small charger, and can put it on a low charge for 12 hours or so, it's worth a try. It may not even show charging amps, but you may resurrect it.

But I still would bet on it being toast. It is a Yuasa YTX14-BS, stock. Can also opt for the YTX14H-BS for a little more juice. Goes from I think 200cca to 240cca. Can't recall exactly.
