I have a cheap one of those (mines from cummins tool) and it works fine if you just ant to get it off the ground a little bit. I use mine for changing tires mainly.

I use a handy lift but not many are going to put one of those in their garage. Building you a sturdy table and use a set of ramps to put the wheeler on it would be a cost effective option. It's so much easier checking everything when your not laying on the floor.

Nice idea and a good point. All I need is a garage.

Someone on here or another forum built a table to work on them in the past and installed a cheap winch on the front to get the wheeler on it (if it was not running or you have a low ceiling). Looked like it would work good for as much as you would use one. For me it would probably take longer to clean it off than to just change the oil on the floor.

Rich, if you do some serious shopping you can get the Handy lift tables for around $800 and the side extensions for another $200. Of course they have more expensive ones but that's not really needed. I have some in the shop that are 20+ years old and still working great, that's a lot of up/down over the years.
