Default Rear diff vent oil loss

Question for you mechanics, am getting alot of oil coming out of the rear diff vent line. The one closest to the brake drum. The oil vents to the front and drips down onto the front diff. What would cause to vent alot of oil??

its because you have a bad seal on you rear axle. drain your rear brake housing to see if oil comes out

Ya but young C is correct, if the final drive is overfilled it could force it out the seal and into the brakes. It should force it out of the final drive vent line but that could be plugged.

Thank you for the replies. Would have to see a schematic, but overfilled- "no way" there is no oil leaking from the brake drum assembly. Will pull rear wheel and brake assembly to see if there is oil. Now I can assume there is 2 seals on the left side, 1 located on the diff and 1 located before the brake housing? Will check also if the diff vent line is plugged.
