Default What is a good atv tire?

I am looking for a good arc tire for mud as well as some sand. Mainly loose terrain I have looked.at radial outlaws, mudzillas, itp. There are so many choices I do not know which I would be most satisfied with. I have a 2 inch lift so I would like to install 27 inch tires

i have 27" outlaws they work great for mud. but other than that they are not the best for trail riding. but for mud they are they definitely one of the best. i've had 26" Mudlite XL's and they sucked for mud and sand. they did not do good at all. they clot up too fast and and do not clean the tread good either. I also have 26" Vampires on my rancher and they work great. been on my fourwheeler for 7 years and still have about 75% tread. i would go with 27" Swamplites. they are great for trails, hard packed, mud, sand and everything. they will definitely be the next tire i get.

Since sspeckerwood hasnt seen this thread yet, I will say it, Swamplites are a great all round tire.

Lots of tire talk over here: Tire & Wheel Discussion - Honda Foreman Forums : Rubicon, Rincon, Rancher and Recon Forum

I'm quite impressed with my STI Black Diamond XTRs.

Another good tire to look at ate the mudlite 589s. Im not a fan of the basic mudlites at all nor are alot of the guys on this site.

I have 4 or 5 guys I ride with running them and they are a rather impressive mud and all around tire.

They are kinda heavy and I didnt realize but yea they are kinda high in price compaired to other tires out there,.... that siad I think the zilla is a better tire and it is alot lighter and cheaper.... I never would have guess that they were cheaper.

None of my buddies ever had a problem with theirs holding air.
