I have a 2003 rubicon, GREAT machine by the way. Well here recently i have been have troubles out of my tranny. It runs great for about an hour after that, when going down hill it doesnt brake like it should, and it grinds really bad after you stop and try to go again. I have changed the thermostat hoping that might be the prob, it wasnt. I have been thinking maybe water pump, oil pump or maybe torque converter. Any suggestionns.

to the forum..... The trans is grinding? Check the fluid level. Or could be in need of adjustment. Could be several things. How long has it been acting up?

I would recommend you read the owners manual and be sure the oil level is correct.
I have seen several Honda owners install to little fluid due to misunderstanding how to check the oil properly. If you have the automatic trans its important the level be at the required level.
