Thumbs down

I thought Id pin this up since its such a common question for those of you doing this project.
The information below is quoted from "toodeep"

Vent lines:

-You'll have the 2 vents on the carb
-front and rear differential
-cooling fan and rear brake
-For the air box lid I just get a new o-ring/seal for it and used 2 on it and it makes it a tight fit.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also I will add that the use of dielectrice greese is recomended on all electrical connections.

Good info...but I just want to add.....the drain hose..on the bottom of the carbs float bowl. I snorkeled mine...and after a few times...she was gettin water in the carb....i checked ..and re-checked everything i had done..and could find no problems. Turns out....somehow....water WAS..finding its way in through this drain tube. I stuck a small screw in it..and no more water. Why it gets in with the drain screw tightened is a mystery to me..but it was. No prtoblems since.

It's also the overflow tube for the carb so it's wide open in another passage in the carb. I use a small shut off valve on my old one, easy to turn on and off.
