I bought Mud Bugs as a snow tire, not a mud tire. Work great for work in the snow.

I went with the Maxis Bighorns, 26x9x12, and 26x12x12. I wanted to try them out before I got back on the board.

Other than having to bang in a fender brace rod on one side (but not the other - did it bend prior?), they fit great.

And they really run well. All I looked for in a tire upgrade. They will climb a tree, and the fatter foot will get you up on more snow and keep you there. Subject to the Law of 4WD, of course, which states that it will allow you to go farther back in before you get really stuck.
Wow its been a while huh haha. Glad to hear your happy with the tires so far. They are pricey but you will definitely get your money's worth out of them!

I have the ITP 589's as well and after playing with them yesterday in the snow and I was walking thru snow drifts that was to the front rack and about 15ft lond with no problem. I'm def liking these tires.

The two best snow tires that I have had were Carlisle ACT HDs and these Grim Reapers. I have been quite impressed with GRs in the snow so far.

Both of these tires will out perform BHs in the snow but I'm sure the Grim Reapers will by far outlast the ACT HDs.

Almost any tire will out perform OE tires.

Congrat on your new tires, I'm sure you'll be happy with your BHs; lots of folks are.

I've posted this video before. I'm sitting at the top on my Rubicon after cutting the trail with ACT HDs. My friends have more HP and locking front diffs and they had a more difficult time than I did making it to the top. The difference?? Tires. They all had brand new BHs.

When my friend got towards the top where it got steep and he had to climb over the log it was all over for him. I had to shut off my camera and go move the log off the trail because he just couldn't get over it or around it.

I always loved Mud Bugs in the snow. Great for your needs.

With that said I've never experience anything like riding in deep snow on 29.5's, with 71hp at your control. Words can't describe that, it's just INSANE.

Like my Bugs in the snow too. I have to settle for 25s with 23-24hp at my control though .

Yea im not all that impressed with my BHs in the snow but they still get the job done.

On another note, I dont think it was the BHs fault in that video.... It may have been the 12psi of air he was running! Those tores up front looked round as can be!
I run mine at about 3 psi and that helps out alot.
