I could be wrong but I dont THINK there is a 7" lift anywhere for a rubicon. As far as the 2" goes, added stress on your rear U-Joint is the only concern as far as mechanics are envolved.

I don't know that high lifter makes a 7" for the rubicon. I know they do for IRS bikes, but not rubicons. If they did it would have custom a-arms, axles, and a longer swing a-arm and would cost you about 2-3 thousand easy.
The 2" will put strain on it, but it you don't ride too hard it should be ok. I broke my stock left fron axle not to long ago. After a while you will realize they are jsut parts and learn to deal with it.

Default lift

I agree with joey th e only 7" lift if for irs. Unless you looking to spend the money. If you are worried about the strain on your bike then y put it on. Its all in fun when you are riding and we built our bike you must know you have to pay to play. Stuff going to break it just happens. People like you that are so consern about their bike intend to break more. All im saying is if you play you going to break stuff and if your not going to play your still going to break. So buy the 2" lift and you will be good. As far as more ground clearence run a bigger tire. If you did put 7" lift your axel would still be the same hight makes no sence its just for show.

yea i know the difference between a rincon and rubicon, the rincon is a 650 and has irs, but iwasnt planning on gettin a 7in lift anyways, im stayin with the 2 in, i just wanted to know if there was any other problems with the lift besides the wearing of the u-joints. i just want a little more clearence in the front and the middle to lessen the chance of me bottoming out, an plus my next tires are going to be 28's so i would have to get the lift anyways. but im not going to deal with the 7in.

Hey, a big ol piece of pipe, some rope, cutting torch, and a welder! We can make you a 7, 12, 24, 30 inch lift your choice. For that matter we can mount your bike on a Volkswagen frame if you like. Here's a prime example a mini bike with a 12in lift and a ten minute life expectancy

Here's my favorite design this one can be done without the welder!
