I used 10w40 in my honda 300 cuz i drowned it and changed the oil about 8 times... but i only ran it till it got warm and did it again, so its not like i used it alot.. but again, I wouldn't trust it. I dont mind forking the money out the rear end for the honda oil, but its those bloody filters!! 17 bucks a filter?! That's unreasonable!!! Seriously if it costs more to put oil in my ATV than my car, there's an issue here. There's a company that may be inventing a reusable oil filter made by a company called PC Racing. www.pcracingusa.com I questioned them about the filters and recieved this response:
Thanks for the email. This is a new product for us and we decided to focus on the sport quads first. They are selling like hot cakes, so we we likely produce many other applications like the Rubicon in 09. Best regards, JJ Petchel PC Racing So if more people go and email them about making a rubi filter, i'm sure they'll want to push for it to be made asap. Buy 2 filters and switch between the 2.. would be nice for a quick change... no more 17 bucks for flippin filters from honda.
