Default Rancher vs Foreman

Going to soon pull the trigger on a new bike. I really like the Foreman but for the riding I do, mainly hunting and exploring on self made trails it seem a bit wide. This would make it a lot more difficult to navigate the woods and swamps to drag out a deer. The Rancher is a lot smaller when it comes time to squeese between trees and so forth. I know either would be a big step up from my previously owned 93' 300 4x4 and currently owned 250 Recon from ****. I'm not going to be dragging heavy loads on a regular basis or towing on a farm. I've heard the Ranchers have come a long ways with the fuel injection and power steering wich would help me a lot on tight turns between trees . I'm just looking for a few pro's and con's from owners instead of the rehearsed salesmen crap. This is a big decision for me and any replies would be appreciated.

Either one would get the job done for what you need. I currently own a 2010 Rancher and its very nimble and quick. Im looking into buying a Foreman because i need another quad. If yourgoing through a lot of tight trails though i would say the Rancher becuase the power is very close,it's smaller, and does great on trails. Hope this helps.

I wouldnt hesitate to get either one, I have heard the rancher is quicker and faster than the foreman.

The 2012 Foreman is a little bit faster on top end on then the Rancher. My friends raced and the Foreman came out on top.

for what your talking about doin i think the rancher would be more fit for that. but remember there may come a day that you want to do more than just that and then you want the foreman. i say the foreman cause i currently own a 2012 and there one he!! of a machine

I love my Rancher. I do exactly waht your saying, self made trails, hunting and just riding around the woods. My main use is firewood, I have a trailer that I put 1/2 face cord in it and get around the woods with ease with the Rancher. I too looked at the foreman and the rincon and passed on them because of the size.

Well from what I have heard is the '12 foreman is a rancher with a bigger jug on top. So if your chosing between the '12 models I would go with the foreman, if your looking at an '11 forman thats new I would go with the rancher. I have a '08 foreman and love it, but i road my friends '10 rancher and i love the throttle responce and the get and go it has. As for going through the woods I have no problem with mine and if a tree is in the way thats small enough i just go over it.LOL..... Either way you go at least you getting a HONDA!!!!!

i love my foreman, but since i don't do a lot pulling, i often find myself wanting something a little more agile, and lighter. my foreman is a heavy b!tch.

man, if you are buying brand new, the foreman is the way to go, the new totally redesigned '12 foreman is a straight beast, yes it is a couple inches wider, but the torque and low range power of this monster is unbelievable. i was so impressed when i brought mine home, and it still impresses me everytime i take it out. and i have hauled 2 deer out of the woods with it this season, and didnt have any trouble at all. the rancher is a nice machine too, but the way i see it is, its better to have the power and not need it, instead of needing the power and not having it.
i would get the foreman, it is such a nice machine.
