The police can be pretty tricky when trying to catch you too!
20 years ago me and a buddy used to ride dirtbikes along the rail road tracks to get from one part of a trail to another and in one section it runs along a public park.
One hot july day we were going past the public park section and there were some dudes in plain clothes tossing a football back and forth while I rode right past them I looked back and the were waving my buddy over like they wanted to check out his KX500 so I slowed down to go back as well.
Once I got turned around I noticed these guys had my buddy on the ground and it looked like they were fighting for the dirtbike so I sped up planning on ghost riding my bike into these guys if I had to.
I get to within 20 feet of the pile and one of them jumps up and flashes a badge at me and right then I knew what was up, so I skid on the brakes and begin to go back the otherway stuck in 3rd gear in low RPMs im barely crawling and this cop could run fast as I could feel him grabbin on my shirt but eventually the rpms climbed and I was able to leave that sucker in my dust!
Man! they through the book at my buddy for not cooperating with them and according to him, they wanted my name really bad but he told them he had just met me that day on the trails and didnt know my name.
He also thought they probably would have let him go if he gave them my name because they wanted me that bad! lol

Now thats a good buddy for ya!

I've been told not to ride along side of the tracks/on the pitched edges becouse it throws off the structural design that supports the rail road ties and makes it unsafe for the trane. The RxR guy that told me was pretty nice about it so I haven't done it agin.

That is where everyone hear rides is the lake bottom during the spring before the bring the water up. they COE rangers ride up and talk to us and just tell us to keep it in the cans (no bottles).

We use to ride at a park in Spring which was private property as long as you didn't cross the creek. Of course the best trails were on the other side. My buddy got caught on the other side once and first offense, the constables gave him tickets for tresspassing, no helmet, no registration, riding with a passenger, no helmet on passenger, and both got MIP. So.....that being said, I'll take my chances that I know my way through the woods better than them.
