I just picked up a mint 2002 rancher 350es with only 450miles on it. Everything worked good until i trail rode it and did go slowly through a creek about 2ft of water for about 20 yds nothing bad. Got home shut it off, then went to put it up and it would not shift. Battery was bad so i replaced it and it did start shifting, but i had to rock it hard to get it to shift. When i hit the button it would go three line across the screen then i would rock it hard back and forth before it would go into gear. After running through the gears it quit shifting, luckily i was in neutral, it would start up no problem. After this when i hit the shift buttons "up or down", "nothing, not even a sound". I decided to try the manual shift, first i was still in neutral and it showed on display, then i shift to first gear, then to 2nd gear, then back to neutral. I then decided to run through all the gears to make sure it was working. I tried to shift to first and it got stuck in the middle and will not go back to neutral or 1st. The display shows first gear but it rolls with easy. So now it will not work in electric or manual. Don't know where to start. NEED HELP with this one!!!! I've read allot of forums about rancher shifting problems. Can you guy help me with this one, in sure one of you have been down this road.

try adjusting the clutch 1st then try manualy shifting it to nutrual
