2 hours into our ride have been in mud, trails and water crossings no problem.
Take a break for about an hour to help somebody undrown a polaris. 2009 420 starts and then quits. It will start and run for a few seconds and then quit. If you start it and rev it up it will pop pap and backfire and then quit. It is impossible to keep it running. Oil level is proper, not overheated: Not flashing any codes, no water in the airbox. Fool with it for about an hour and tow it back to the truck. Start it drive it onto the trailer quick and it dies. Get it home (hour later) clean it up and it runs like a singer sewing machine again. Obviously something is getting wet and telling it to cut off. Anybody have this issue before? Maybe fuel pump getting hot? |

Could it be a plugged vent line on the gas cap?
