Default 02 rancher 350 problems with front end poping

hey i need some answers i think it may be the cv joints but im not sure ok when i turn right or left the front end pops and when i go down this steep hill behind my house and put on the front brakes it pops really bad and steering wheel shakes and also when im going down the road fast it pops here and there and acts darty and i dont know what it is do yall know anything about this??

welcome to the forum !
jack up the front end and give it a shake and see whats loose
also check the bolts that hold the diferential in ..(the ears on the diff sometimes break off and it will flop around )

it is also hard to steer somtimes also like it will be hard to turn one way then it will be hard to turn all of a sudden the other way

also if you have a torn cv boot it will fill up with mud and make it hard to steer.

well nothing is loose i check the front diff gear oil and its good and it didnt do it hardly when i got it but it acts like its getting way worse

the cv boots are good it clicks really bad when i turn and when i was going down the road today pulling a small trailer as i said before it even clicks when im going straight well today it clicked and tryed to dart and i didnt let it and the back shock lifted a little?

You have a bad CV joint trying to lock up. Either a boot was torn at one time and not caught in time before it was replaced or the boot has a small hole in it that is hard to see. Just see which CV has play in it, that will be the bad one. Also squeeze the boots to see if any air comes out, none should.

ya sounds like a cv, i had one go out on an old atv and when backing up with full turn, it made a terrible noise
