Default 06 trx 350 engine cutting out

Just finished putting in a new top end in my 06 350 because it was burning oil. (piston rings and new top end gaskets bored .10 over) It starts and runs ok but after about 30 seconds or so running it will cut out as if you hit the kill switch for a second. Sometimes it will stall and sometimes it will sputter but keep running. If it stalls and you start it again it works fine till until it does it again. I adjusted the valves when i was putting it back together and made sure on the valve timing. I was going to clean the carb just to make sure that's not it but it was idling fine before the rebuild. Anything else it might be??

I forgot to mention that as long as your above idle it will not cut out. In other words if your driving the quad or keeping it above idle it will still have that sputter but is not as noticeable and the machine won't stall. Thanks

pull the spark plug and see what color it is . i sounds like the carb is running lean ,and you may have to clean and adjust it

Do you think you would have to run a little richer because of the .10 over piston? What would you adjust first?

well now that you have a lot more compresion it needs more fuel since its getting more air
the 1st thing i would do is unscrew the spark plug and see if its lean and then i would clean the carb ! when all put back together then you adjust the air fuel screw from baseline

I checked the spark plug and it's looks to be running rich. It's black and almost looks wet. I cleaned the carb and put in a new spark plug. still does the same thing. Is there anything with the valve adjustment that could have been done wrong that would have these symptoms? The thing that gets me is that it runs well for at least 20 seconds before it does this

I tried putting it anywhere from 1 and a half to 2 and a half. It didn't make a difference.
