Thanks. Is it necessary to remove the whole motor out, or can it be done with it still in the frame? Also thanks alot for the info.

I'll be honest $1800 seems like a lot, especially for a bike that is broken. Is it 2wd or 4x4? I don't know your location, but I just got a 2002 Rancher 2wd for $1k. I search on craiglist and ebay quite often and have seen good deals on other bikes as well, you just gotta be patient. Older Foremans and King quads with 4x4 going for $1600-$1800. In my opinion unless you absolutely have your heart set on this bike, I'd keep searching. Unless the owner will work with you on the price and knock off a couple hundred for the repairs.

4x4. the only thing it really needs is the switch fixed. I can deal with the minor things. Search craigslist for my area and there selling +or-$2,600

here is one 1 year newer for about the same price.

Does the neutral light come on at the same time? Guessing it did since you would have wanted to hear it run. The reverse wire might have a short in it to a ground causing the light to stay on.

When you turn the key on all three lights turn on. Couple seconds later the oil pressure light goes off.I decided not to buy it. He won't take anything less than $1,800 for it.
