I have a 2002 Rancher 350. It will startup and run long enough to pull it out of the tailer then shuts off after about 3-4 minutes. Then will not start without starting fluid. Any ideas?

does it only run on choke? or just for a few mins no choke

thanks for the welcome, it just stops running. I was thinking that the carb may be leaking off and might need cleaned.
This is my wifes quad so I really need to get it running soon.

check the carb vent lines ,thay may be clooged with mud (i saw your pics ,realy stickey mud) . if not that pull the carb and clean it .also check the flow out of the gass tank (there is a screen in fuel tank that may be getting clooged)

Thanks for the info... do know what all year Rancher 350 carbs will fit an 02? Will an 06 work on it?

on the fm modals thay are different
try looking here this is the cheepest parts place

What's an FM model?

if you look on the left front frame rail it will tell you what model rancher 350 you have .there was 4 models under the parts look up.also you can find the model under the seat on rt side

TM = Two wheel drive, manual shift.
FM = Four wheel drive, manual shift.
TE = Two wheel drive, electric shift.
FE = Four wheel drive, electric shift.
