Question Fuel Evaporating From Cap

Hey guys...another quick question. I've been running full tanks through my quad to get see the mileage. I always fill the tank until it just starts to reach the neck, which in turn makes some splash out through the vent if the hose is off. Will putting the hose back on mean the gas will go into it and just run back into the tank? Or should I put a nail in the vent hole so nothing comes out? I'm just trying to avoid having any gas evaporate out the cap .

dude, if you plug the hole, ur bike will not run right. ur not gonna have enough evaporate to notice. ur gas tank has to be vented.

Alright and another question: Will gas that evaporates condense back into gas again?

Don't plug the vent or it'll stop the fuel flow when you're running. The tank needs to vent so air can get in as fuel is used.

Why don't you just put the vent hose back on?
