Default 06 350ES Shift problems

got a buddy with an 06 350 es rancher. electric shift wont work at all. shifts fine with foot when the foot shifter is put on. getting error code 3. He replaced the angle sensor and that didnt do anything and it kept giving the same code . What should he try next?

3 Flashes is angle sensor, faulty part, incorrect installation, related wiring, or ECU. Your close to solving it.

make sure he preloaded the angle sensor, im sure its like the 05 AT if i remember replacing mine you have to give it a full turn either clockwise or counter before you screw it in, if i get the motivation i'll get up and look in the book

You don't have to preload the angle sensor on the 350 Rancher. You just slide it over the shaft and bolt it on. The shaft has a flat side and the hole in the angle sensor has a flat side and you just line the two up and slide it on the shaft and bolt it on.

No problem. Yeah, the AT trannys (Hondamatic) are different, you do have to preload the angle sensor on those.

docsatvservice(dot)com has a module that bypasses all the ES wiring. I have one my 450ES and i have never had another problem out of it. he also has a bolt on hand or foot shifter for the ES models. His number is 601-659-9931
